WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a boost to certain stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by 3. Each upgrade also boosts a random substat.

Upgraded gear is generally more useful, unless the item has low requirements by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a high variance in stats (like the eth Titan weapons). Upgrades are not as useful for the latter due to the need to roll the perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrading upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by giving the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied on any type of armor or weapons. They can be purchased by players through NPCs who sell upgrades to item owners for various currencies. They can also find them on random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased, it can be applied to any weapon, tool, or armor with the help of The button will display the item's next upgrade level, if there are enough materials.

The upgrade cost depends on the item slot and current item level, with weapons costing more than bracers or gloves, for example. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones and a number of crests, with certain upgrades having a discount to reduce the cost of Flightstones or the crests used. For instance, it's a good idea to make use of all your Whelpling-rank crests on the top equipment available, and then keep Drake and Wyrm crests for the next round of upgrades you plan to make. This is particularly relevant for items like trinkets and rings that take up several slots. The discount on the account will only apply when all the slots on the character are filled with top-quality gear.
